I mean, people gotta die somehow. You could flip the map to show percentage of deaths due to cancer, and Romania would probably look quite good.

Ich bin nicht überzeugt dass die AfD von ihren Wählern als Protestpartei gesehen wird. Es gibt viele Parteien in Deutschland, davon auch sehr viele nicht-rechtsextreme.

Wer die AfD als Protestpartei bezeichnet möchte der Tatsache nicht ins Auge sehen dass 80 Jahre nach dem zweiten Weltkrieg die meisten Zeitzeugen tot sind, und der Rechtsextremismus wieder Fahrt aufnimmt.

Skin color is polygenic, meaning it is influenced by many genes rather than one or two. As of now, dozens of genes are established as influencing skin color.

If both parents each only have a few of these genes contributing to dark skin and the majority of them contributing to light skin, both parents will have fairly light skin. If their child then inherits exactly those genes that contribute to dark skin, it is plausible that it has darker skin than either parent.

Not saying this isn’t true, but there is something that I have often wondered with this reasoning.

There have been some quite powerful socialist states. Sure, fledgeling socialist states were sabotaged by the US and it’s allies. But they were also propped up by the USSR and it’s allies.

So, if external sabotage explains the failure of socialist states, why wasn’t support from powerful socialist allies enough to offset it? And why didn’t comparable interference cause capitalist states to fail at similar rates?
