That is mostly true when the moon stands directly above the equator, however its orbit isn’t fixed to the equator so the duration can vary during a month the same way the duration of the sun being in the sky varies over the year. So especially near the poles it is possible to see the moon for more than 24 hours or not at all for multiple days.

This sounded very wrong to me, so I googled and apparently they had a setup where the reflected air from the sail caused a net flow in the opposite direction allowing them to move forwards. But that is less effective than just blowing the air straight backwards without a sail.

6·1 month agoAs someone who has tried studying all three languages, Korean and Japanese are actually quite similar. Many grammar patterns like particles and conjugations can be directly translated and many loanwords from Chinese sound very similar in both languages. So knowing either one certainly does make learning the other one easier.
