people are willing/able to be open and empathetic
personally, I’ve been bitten too many times being open to random people and getting vitriol back. Well that may be because at the height of my online activities were in reddit, just at the right moment when it started gaining mass traction and getting all sorts of assholes.
being here in lemmy/piefed (can we settle on calling it threadiverse yet?) is of course a nice breath of fresh air.

I assume the hedgehog have been around people in the area enough to “domesticate” itself, since, another assumption, the humans around it are decent people that cares for random creatures.
This is what I use on my phone. I’m in love with Zen for desktop though. Love what they change Firefox into sort of Arc browser before Arc went AI slop machine.

Well actually being in fedia.io it would makes sense, since fedia being mbin supports threaded posts and microblog posts.
Somewhat but also not. I tried ObtainX when obtainium was still using the old UI and I got along fine on obtainx. Obtainx does use more of the expressive material design language but it makes sense to me
But somehow when obtainium changed to this new UI I just can’t get my head around it. So weird.
At least threaded comments like on here and reddit is a lot easier to follow than on forum sites.
Although I do look back in warm nostalgia quoting forum posts as I back read 3 pages of them when I got back to a forum topic after 3 days. Hell, sometimes even just a few hours if it’s a hot topic. I wouldn’t dream of doing it nowadays though.
I do that as well, except I don’t hit send and delete it. Sometimes I just need something let out and doesn’t need it to be out in the public

I recently found Lance Hendrick and been going through some of his older videos slowly. And sometimes watching new videos. I like how his newer guides also teach me the why with the how. I don’t remember which video it was, but he wanted to make gu8de videos where he tries not to make “gospel”
Not saying that James didn’t also do that, but finding more perspective really ignited my love for the coffee hobby, and I don’t get too much FOMO for new gear.
Although I really do want a hario switch now after years with my aeropress. just to learn about pourovers now.

artists (the drawing kind) have been posting timelapse of them drawing art for quite some time. It has since increased when AI sloperators flooded the field. But now I’ve heard some aren’t even going to post them anymore, since the sloperators are training on those to make fake timelapse.
