Raised on dial-up. Shaped by Morrowind and 20-sided dice. I lift heavy, think hard, and miss when the internet felt like a world—not a billboard.

Help, I have turned to gold and cannot move or turn back.

I second this.
I recently set up pi-hole on my home network and was shocked to see my SO’s iPhone have the most network usage out of all our home devices and my GrapheneOS the least 😅

I have GrapheneOS on Pixel 8a and given all the recent news I’m genuinely anxious about what’s coming next :(

There’s this… https://commerce.jolla.com/products/jolla-phone-preorder
I second this. It’s really good!

Ublock, privacy badger, pi-hole, sponsorblock 💁

That is actually a very fair point!

I 100% agree with the fact that there needs to be more phones you can easily fix but every time I see a headline like “I need a phone I can fix” I can’t help but think that y’all are incredibly clumsy and keep breaking your phones far too often 😅
Mainly the beauty of selfhosting. Also it has map features if your photos are geotagged, also facial recognition so you can categorize/group photos by people’s faces. Also it gives you memories for any specific day.
I used Jottacloud in 2016-2017 and loved it. A couple of months ago I started using Proton which has photos backup+cloud just like Jottacloud but more recently I started self hosting Immich and I love it!

Portainer says 14 (including itself) 😅
I selfhost on a raspberry pi 4 so I can’t really afford to run nextcloud on it. I mean, I probably could, but I’d rather not 😅
I also use Fossify Calendar but with davx5 and a selfhosted Radicale service.
Sounds a lot like my previous job 😂
The Moto G 1st gen was my favourite phone of all time. RIP :')
