I fucking hate this capitalist, anti-consumer hellscape. I stopped watching Netflix because I loathe their “multi-screen writing” policy. I don’t want my dollar supporting that and if we roll all the services into one voting with your wallet becomes practically impossible.

There is a related community of people who refer to themselves as “plant-based, whole-food” eaters. I recently switched to this from a lifetime of meats and processed foods (mostly, it’s a work in progress to avoid cheat meals).

I vastly prefer the PBWF people to vegans. Less evangelism, less shaming, less zealotry… and PBWF is actually stricter than vegan. I find vegan communities insufferable but I may have found my new home with PBWF.

Stargate never learned when to stop. SG1 was amazing pretty much until the casting change, and if they had just stopped there it would have been easier to stomach than the sexy alien and dumb following plot lines. It was already getting cringy with the forced love story (did they learn nothing from the X-Files?)

Same with Atlantis, it was really good for a while and then just kinda goes off the rails and gets unwatchable.

Not really trying to insult the writers, I just think keeping a show going forever and maintaining quality may be nearly impossible.
