My state is overwhelmingly conservative and I stick out like a sore thumb that wants universal healthcare.

I filter out the vast, vast majority of people and basically have a dozen people I know and hang out with who are also not conservative.

I had one a couple decades ago because my wife wanted a China set to display. After a move it was repurposed to display other things like gems and minerals and neat stuff.

Cutting all the funding and support for programs for financial support for those less well off, anything that benefits the public as a whole, public safety systems like the FDA or CDC, and putting people who tear down all of those systems into leadership positions. Hell, he put someone who wanted to close the Department of Education into the top role.

More people are harmed by those actions, but it isn’t as easy to visualize.

None of the hobbies have any real training. Sam is capable, probably owning more to having a physically demanding profession than the other hobbits, but he wins more by persistence than fighting skill.

Pets have odors, but it isn’t nearly as overwhelming if you are around it all the time. Sometimes houses have faint smells like a musty basement that are enough to ignore when around them all the time. Even residual smells from cooking can impact how a house smells!

Absence makes things the brain normally filters out noticeable again. Also going elsewhere with different smells can make home smells more noticeable. Heck, when I get back from trips sometimes the house smells wonderful because it smells like home!

Netflix’s “solution” is to have a second account, but then if she watches something at my place and then at her mom’s it would require signing in and out of Netflix constantly to have access to her personal profile. Netflix tying accounts to wifi networks is stupid and frankly you would fit right in there.
