Hey!
I’m new to piefed. I was a part of the Reddit migration originally. Since then, I really enjoyed the conversations.
I’m a behavior therapist by day. Otherwise a bit of an introvert/gamer. I’m always up for a conversation. Unless I’m asleep, which is earlier and earlier these days.

When I was a kid I discovered Poison the Well and Thursday. Which led me down a rabbit hole, and I never turned back. I still listen to and love those bands as well as a lot of heavy music.
I think the biggest difference between old me and young me is that I’m not afraid to like music people think is bad. My friends at the time were very disinterested in screaming.
So for me when I was dating it was that people were never interested in me as a person, for a variety of reasons.
So for example a lot of people my age have children and look for a mother figure. Or think mothers themselves are not for serious companionship.
Or looking for what I provide as a service (free therapy).
Or it’s a money thing.
Eventually it went from annoying to exhausting. Well, it was not adding anything to my life so why bother?

7·1 day agoI do a lot of play therapy and wear a lot of costumes. Arts and crafts necessitates shiny objects such as gemstones glitter/glue. The photo I think I’m dressed up for some silly hat day thing. I may be a crow.
The local computer repair shop was a little slice of heaven in our rural town. That sounds amazing.
Hmmm make it 17 in 2005, tales of fun lan parties.
I appreciate the memes. Truly. Thank you.

1·2 days agoFor what I do I would have to go elsewhere unfortunately. I have two interviews Monday. I just hate change. I’ll miss those interesting people as well. Oh well.

4·2 days agoI think my first post here someone asked me to tell them about baking lasagnas, maybe because of the way I type. Is it also sort of an insult to imply someone is a bot?

Oh yeah…I forgot about the basket of remotes.
I feel like being competent in electronics can be so aggravating depending on how people treat you. I don’t even want to think about those giant tv/dvd/multi-disc changer set-ups with sound systems people had. Rip.

1·3 days agoSorry you’re going through all that. Would a low impact exercise provide the same rush? I know runners high is a thing. I’m not sure swimming would do it for you. Rock climbing is a little more intense… but you can take it at your own pace and it feels really good (while you’re doing it). So if you get halfway and your leg starts doin a jig you can drop off, etc, without losing your work out.

4·3 days agoIcky. Looking for a new job. Being harassed by a bully underlying who has created a hostile work environment because I hold her to her assigned tasks. The hours are really good though. So I wish it hadn’t come to this, especially around this time of year. I’m tired.
Behavior support following the holiday? Yeah I’m calling out Monday.
And I can’t even tell if it’s because printers have gotten worse or millennials are just the IT department forever.
