It’s hard to keep the negativity of people in your family from affecting your mind, even if you know they’re wrong. I deal with that by not hanging around people who aren’t kind, but I know that’s a luxury not everyone has. And my family mostly are kind.

However, it will get better, because you will make it through this, and find people who love and appreciate you for who you are. Found family is still family.

Unionisation as a company upgrade is exactly how we in Australia achieved a huge productivity boom in the 90s without wages growing too fast or stagnating. Howard fucked that up in the 2000s in the name of business and both wages and productivity growth stalled.

Yep, but the problem is still there, and abolishing the presidency (or, let’s be real, changing it to a largely ceremonial and symbolic role, like the Queen of England) is one good way to solve the problem.

Also, putting society above the individual is not quite right. It is recognition that you should put the majority of individuals above the minority, instead of protecting an individual’s absolute rights above the interests of the majority. It’s not like society isn’t made up of individuals, after all.
