  • Oh I was done with sony after the PS4 =w=

Gaming on PC was just astronomically better in every way, even some which made me laugh at the irony, like controller support. I play all games on controller still (my old dualshock 4 for now, but I did queue for the steam controller) and I can’t go back to playing the games I have on playstation, just cause most of the features I make use of daily on the controller aren’t properly supported on playstation despite it having the hardware lol

But also being able to actually buy DLC for games without jumping through the whole giftcard thing, not having a charge for multiplayer, mods, indies, freedom of choosing which marketplace I buy from, refund policies, performance, playing with friends (most of my friends are on PC), and all the other non-gaming apps I can run, and additional devices like extra screens etc… there’s just nothing about playstation that makes the experience better or more worth it in any way for me

So yeah :3. I wasn’t planning on buying a console if I can help it lol

  • Im glad I jumped ship from playstation after the PS4, before PC prices were as astronomical as they are now =w=

Fun thing about living in a country that doesn’t even have PSN support despite the fact you can buy a playstation here: you can’t even buy games from the PS online store without jumping through a bunch of hoops like buying gift cards for whatever country you set your PSN to

  • They were on mint lol. They just wanted to do a bunch of random specific stuff like transferring their entire setup from one drive to another, and then transfer the windows to a drive their linux was on, or installing windows apps that require pretty specific setups (which usually had install scripts made for them, but even reading the guide to how to run those was something they were struggling to do) etc.

I mean, I did mention a lot of alternative solutions and all that, but they weren’t always accepted

  • I actually blocked someone over something like this =w=

An ex friend that kept bothering me for linux help, and would refuse to look at or read any source. Literally got so annoyed of them asking something, me telling them what to do, telling them the tools that can do it, and even linking sources that explain the tools, and they still message me with some rudimentary thing that’s literally in the first paragraph of the step by step guide breaking down each argument etc.

Some people just don’t want to try or be competent, they just want to shout “I don’t know computers” and make you read out the same steps you just sent them

  • I suppose they could’ve included the ads in the firmware that comes with the monitors and then display them as an overlay in the similar vein as monitor settings or any of the gaming enhancement overlays certain monitors offer. Though then they couldn’t change out the ads without also including internet connectivity within the monitors… and you’d need to use the buttons on the back of the monitor to navigate to/out of the ads

So including them in an auto-installing app is probably the more convenient option. Either way, we shouldn’t give those cunts any ideas ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
