If I hear a song I like while out doing whatever, I’ll add it to my playlist and usually check out more from the artist.
Though I also just have a list of artists I like and stick to for the most part :p
They/Them A chaos bean bat/bunny. I do art sometimes

Im glad I jumped ship from playstation after the PS4, before PC prices were as astronomical as they are now =w=
Fun thing about living in a country that doesn’t even have PSN support despite the fact you can buy a playstation here: you can’t even buy games from the PS online store without jumping through a bunch of hoops like buying gift cards for whatever country you set your PSN to

I learned about https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sure_We_Can which is pretty interesting
This sounds a bit like the bottle and can return machines we have in stores here in europe. Here there’s an additional charge for the packaging for most drinks (10 cents for my country) which you get upon returning the bottle/can to a recycling machine. I know when it got introduced here the recycling statistic for plastic jumped up by quite a bit

If it’s sorting and disposal that is the issue, then yeah, more transparency within the recycling organizations would help
If not enough people recycle to start, then I suppose it would be a bigger push for recycling in education. That certainly was my first real exposure to recycling and it’s effects
And of course if companies don’t recycle then there’s need to be more incentives for them to do so, or making not recycling more costly or inconvenient

Yeah, there’s quite a few dotted around places. I know at my last job I worked basically down the street from a textile recycling warehouse (the bins for textiles specifically are rarer than the standard recycling ones in my experience), and there’s a glass and metal recycling place not far from where I live, which I know cause we were to load off some of the waste materials we had left over from construction that could be recycled ^^
There’s plastic and other materials in other nearby cities as well

I don’t think my country does anything special for recycling, we have the bottle and can return machines at stores, and then for general recycling we have the colour coded paper, plastic, and glass bins :p

I mean… Sure? It doesn’t cost me anything to do it, so might as well ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ maybe they’ll find something
A side hop if anything :3 I wouldn’t count secondary devices as distro hopping, especially something like the steamdeck, but I suppose someone might
Speaking of steamdecks tho, I’ve thought about picking one up. I just wish I travelled more to actually be able to justify the price lol. It’s a cool piece of kit
I started on pop!_os and now 6 years later im on… pop!_os
Yeah, I didn’t really do any distro hopping :p. Though I’ve tried a bunch of distros in VMs

I’ve had a whole set of weird issues with controllers, not long ago I had 2 games “break” my controller configs in 2 different ways =w=
Never had anything that took long to fix thankfully, but I can definitely relate on some level lol
You’re not wrong, but… Im gonna need you to stop anyway
Im feeling too called out x3

Pickleball, but actual pickles? It’s also the wrong kind of racquet for pickleball tho, so I dunno
If I ever meet them in the wild I’ll suggest they try nixOS x3
Im very aware =w= I just got tired of putting on with it, especially with the way they were treating me like on call tech support expecting me to forego my plans or use my free time to assist with whatever, whenever
At some point even if you know why someone acts they way they do, you just have to throw in the towel and look out for your own health
They were on mint lol. They just wanted to do a bunch of random specific stuff like transferring their entire setup from one drive to another, and then transfer the windows to a drive their linux was on, or installing windows apps that require pretty specific setups (which usually had install scripts made for them, but even reading the guide to how to run those was something they were struggling to do) etc.
I mean, I did mention a lot of alternative solutions and all that, but they weren’t always accepted
That person was in fact an LLM user. And I do believe it was specifically chatGPT =w=
I actually blocked someone over something like this =w=
An ex friend that kept bothering me for linux help, and would refuse to look at or read any source. Literally got so annoyed of them asking something, me telling them what to do, telling them the tools that can do it, and even linking sources that explain the tools, and they still message me with some rudimentary thing that’s literally in the first paragraph of the step by step guide breaking down each argument etc.
Some people just don’t want to try or be competent, they just want to shout “I don’t know computers” and make you read out the same steps you just sent them

I suppose they could’ve included the ads in the firmware that comes with the monitors and then display them as an overlay in the similar vein as monitor settings or any of the gaming enhancement overlays certain monitors offer. Though then they couldn’t change out the ads without also including internet connectivity within the monitors… and you’d need to use the buttons on the back of the monitor to navigate to/out of the ads
So including them in an auto-installing app is probably the more convenient option. Either way, we shouldn’t give those cunts any ideas ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Oh I was done with sony after the PS4 =w=
Gaming on PC was just astronomically better in every way, even some which made me laugh at the irony, like controller support. I play all games on controller still (my old dualshock 4 for now, but I did queue for the steam controller) and I can’t go back to playing the games I have on playstation, just cause most of the features I make use of daily on the controller aren’t properly supported on playstation despite it having the hardware lol
But also being able to actually buy DLC for games without jumping through the whole giftcard thing, not having a charge for multiplayer, mods, indies, freedom of choosing which marketplace I buy from, refund policies, performance, playing with friends (most of my friends are on PC), and all the other non-gaming apps I can run, and additional devices like extra screens etc… there’s just nothing about playstation that makes the experience better or more worth it in any way for me
So yeah :3. I wasn’t planning on buying a console if I can help it lol
