Unions came about to negotiate over reasonable terms for work because people started to burn down mansions of factory owners, with or without the guy’s family inside. Or just cyberpunk 2077 where chapter 1 shows all the nice tech and then some folks nuke the corporate headquarter and kidnap corporate techs. I mean that’s a serious hint.
