A rather terrible photo, but also an animal I don’t see often. It didn’t stick around for long and jetted down a burrow nearby and this was the best I got. Still worth a post, idk?

Nah this is a great shot, truly captures the nature of the shrew, so to speak :) aside from the tunnel-y bits anyway, but even the body language says “don’t look at me plz, I’m just a small lil shrew, ya see…”
Every time I see a picture of a shrew, I keep imagining it in little medieval clothes discussing procedural votes and carried motions for killing the giant snake across the river.
Definitely worth the post for the rare animal sighting
