Flemish artist Pieter de Poortere. And I don’t have the slightest idea how to pronounce “Boerke” correctly, in Flemish. Would it be like in Dutch, or a little different?
Btw, English, Flemish and Dutch are all “Low Germanic” languages as I understand it, which suggests to me why the text is so easy to read. Well, “storen” in this case means “to disturb” it seems, so slightly different there.
Shoulda just shaved it off and started listening to Industrial Metal!

Haha, good look.
I guess if you’re Boerke, the only drawback is having ‘Charlie Brown’ head. I guess the ‘Captain Picard look’ up top kinda disguises that a little.
A bit late, but the “oe” in “boerke” is the same sound as the “oo” in “moon”. The last e is a schwa sound (a short uhh). It means little farmer.
THANK YOU. So, what do you think? Dutch or Flemish pronunciation makes more sense, here?
Definitely Flemish. It’s a Flemish cartoon and the -ke ending is very Flemish, the Dutch would say “Boertje”.
