    There is a grain of truth in this comic. Human babies are not nit to live on their own. And no one wants an alien style birth of a baby large enough to be more independent.

      Also, just for the rekkid, our births go pretty much like other mammals do in this sense, so we’ve got massive company, there.

      But yeah, the prolonged helplessness of man is… pretty unique in mammals, far as I know.

        It’s because of our big noggins, we cook any longer in the oven and we won’t come out. So nature decided to send us out into the harsh world half-baked.

        Some of us never get used to it and wish to return to the womb.

      A long time ago, I heard something like, that if we grew our kids for longer in the womb to make them more developed at birth, women would have to be quadrupedal to have the right hips to fit the baby

        Human brains are large. Also humans walk upright and need narrow hips for this. These 2 things do not go well together. What a strange species you humans are.
