Samin Nosrat released a book a few years back called “Salt, Fat, Acid, Heat” that dives into this school of thought. I thought it was a great read and it’s definitely impacted my cooking since reading it. And the accompanying documentary series was fun, too. Great if you’re into cooking and want to improve your fundamentals in the kitchen.

What a great compendium, such a great book and I believe (correct me if I’m wrong) a Netflix series? I’d add to such stellar publications as “The Flavor Bible”,

https://www.amazon.com/Flavor-Bible-Essential-Creativity-Imaginative/dp/0316118400 the art of mixing flavor and spice, acid etc. Taken from the wisdom of America’s most imaginative chefs.
