i’m shocked to learn that conway twittty is a comrade. lol
legit I only know them from family guy
that’s probably all that there is to know; besides being a long closeted gay man who started his singing career in the country music genre before switching the pop like a 1960’s male version of taylor swift. lol
What makes us say he was a “long closeted gay man”? Other than rocking the same haircut as Liberace
this comment seems to imply that twitty never came out of the closet; for the record, he did.e: confused twitty with mathis
Can you cite a source for this? I cannot find any reference to Conway Twitty ever coming out as gay.
i confused conway twitty with johnny mathis; i’m having more senior moments as i age. 🤦♂️
I don’t even know if it’s actually his quote, but really nails it
let’s pretend for this guy. lol
And that he’s black or white depending on the picture
It is a black-and-white picture, after all.
he’s white
Very white when I looked him up, but he fooled me with this picture.
it is a bit of an odd pic, but i think that the fashion sense makes it ambigous.
A major victim of 9/11 was the country music industry
For a lot of people, when they say they hate country music what they really mean is they hate Nashville pop. There is still a lot of good country music out there, you just won’t hear it on CMT (if that’s even still a thing, I don’t really know.)
And then they get scheduled 34 hours a week when the minimum to qualify for the employee health insurance plan is 35+ hours.
And for the unemployed there’s alcohol and drugs.
A while back I worked for a facility that specialized in inpatient mental health care for children. Teens, sure, but also units for kids 4-7 and 8-12.
A wide range of physical and sexual abuse cases, bullies (often paying forward abuse at home), and the bullied, driven to thoughts of suicide.
But there was another group. Kids sent for evaluation by schools for acting out excessively or aggressively or both. No physical or sexual abuse. No bullying from either direction.
The problem was they lived with a parent or parents who loved them so much, they worked 3 minimum wage jobs to keep food on the table and a roof over their heads. Neglect? Is it?
Time is the ultimate commodity. You can love your kids, but without the time to spend on them, what becomes of that relationship?
This really is the greatest theft made by the top 10%.
Things are already infuriating enough in general, but the way kids become the victims of this system even when they have loving parents that would very much like to take care of them properly, it just makes me so indescribably mad
And when we do have spare time, they make sure their devices steal our attention for as much of it as possible.
