Aren’t “spit hoods” a throwback to the Aids hysteria of the 80s when cops used them to keep detainees from spitting or biting? I thought the practice had been discontinued, but apparently it just moved from LE into psychiatric care units. Another story highlighting the sorry state of wealthcare.
