The amount of carbon dioxide detected in the atmosphere hit a record high in April. CO2 levels averaged about 431 parts per million (ppm) over that month, according to data collected at the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s Mauna Loa Observatory in Hawaii.
And we haven’t even really kicked off the northern hemisphere wildfire season yet! /s
cries due to future wildfire smoke in eyes and lungs
It’s OK, it will take at least another generation before the planet is unlivable.
That’s another generation we can keep burning fossil fuels to make money.
On the plus side, the huge fossil fuel energy crunch about to happen will probably cut into this years emissions
I’m pretty sure wars are pretty bad for emissions of all sorts tho
So much co2 the air is practically sparkling.
