I must disagree. Hearing the original for the first time and it tops out over my nostalgia for the cover.

Lol - i googled recently if it was a coved, then listened to the original. The original is about as good but it’s a more niche genre… the song is good enough that as many people as possibke should have access to it; it’s easier to listen to Imbruglia’s.

But then i feel like the original is sung with more meaning, which might just be a result of it being performed by the band who wrote it. The words should be sung in that punky emo rhythm
