Before NBN came to my area, I had fibre to the node with new copper between the node and my home

Now I have a choice: my old fibre to the node with a node 50m from the termination in my home, or NBN fibre to the node with a node 2km away and 1970s copper between

Neighbours on NBN get about half the speed of the old solution

When they eventually roll out FTTH here I’ll probably change over. I’m not holding my breath

      Not at all.

Fiber is low latency, high speed and it’s secure. It’s basically the gold standard.

100% fiber wasn’t even in the first iteration of NBN, but libs sabotaged that anyway… It has been rapidly rolling out and replacing the lib garbage

However, fiber is the gold standard regardless. Rural areas however will likely need wireless technologies. That doesn’t make the NBN obsolete to any capacity
