Total sales for the Early Access version of Subnautica 2 surpassed four million copies sold just five days after release, developer Unknown Worlds Entertainment announced.
Unless Krafton can successfully appeal the court decision (which I doubt they can) they have a deal with Unknown worlds that if Subnautica 2 meets certain time-sensitive revenue milestones Krafton has pay Unknown worlds $250 million. In short, if Subnautica 2 does well in early access Krafton gets fucked.
I had heard about the deal during the drama but I thought it was just development milestones. Very well, I’ll do my part 🫡 (insert starship troopers gif here)
Not sure. I haven’t found a credible number on how much revenue they need to hit for the bonus as most news sites don’t seem to mention it. The only number I found was around 70 million in revenue but because I only saw it on one smaller site I don’t know how trustworthy that number is.
I’m glad this is heading in a good direction. Im not strong enough to wait a full year past release but I will at least wait until the 1.0 release.
Buying now fucks over Krafton so buy now.
How’s that?

Have those been met already though?
