This is sad to hear but without reading the article I’m good ng to guess this has to do with shutting down equipment due to power constraints. It has a limited amount of fuel that can’t be refilled because it’s literally the furthest man made device ever. It sucks but the program will have to end at some point, its been 50 years which is amazing they’ve been able to keep in touch with it
