“There’s no artificial intelligence without actual intelligence,” he said on “Mad Money.” “The knowledge has to come from somewhere, and Reddit is one of the primary sources for that sort of information that AI’s crave, but also that people crave.”
Reddit is one of the primary sources for that sort of information that AI’s crave
Now it all makes sense.
AI was trained on humans that don’t know how to act like humans, so AI has like a double dose of uncanny valley to it.
That and it makes sense why AI uses so many emojis, cheesy one liners, and can a massive fence sitter. God forbid we get an LLM that can give a constructive, well thought out opinion.
Just like a typical Redditor, gotta get them stars and updoots.

Good luck with that lol. The quality of discourse on reddit has fallen off a fucking cliff the last few years; and it wasn’t particularly great before that either, after years of already being on a downward trajectory. Models trained on that shit are going to be increasingly brain damaged.
It’s no wonder AI models are so confidently wrong all the time. That’s like, redditors’ MO
That’s just how the chat bots are designed. No one would use it if it prefaced every response with a qualifier like “I think” or “Its possible” etc.
Yeah, wrong information confidently asserted is 95% or more of all reddit comments. It was worse than trying to find something on stackoverflow that wasn’t nonsense.
