“Word, we don’t have to then”

Then go out with your merry people and destroy every flock camera in town. This is YOUR town. Not theirs. I dont give a fuck who paid for a right they dont have but you can’t spy on people.just because you pay officials. Fuck off. Flock cameras should be dead on sight. People should be attacking that shit like zombies seeing flesh for the first time.

The headline here is incredibly misleading. The commissioner did not prevent discussion on Flock, but rather required Flock opponents to nominate a spokesperson to speak on their behalf.

While it might be normal practice to allow every individual to speak, I don’t think this is a huge abuse of authority or anything.

This depends on state law, but many states require public comment at open public meetings, and forbid what you describe because it violates 1A and common decency. And many local governments ignore those state laws.

Did that happen here? I didn’t research it.

Also, one representative? Maybe the opposition is not united. So they can’t have a single one. Obviously.

It absolutely silents opposition in this case. They are trying to condense the sheer magnitude of opposition into 1 community spokesperson versus hearing over and over again how shit these cameras are.

Dont want to listen to the people? Then don’t run for this elected position.
