Both episodes feature a female officer being abducted and later participating in a fight to the death, which both parties survive. In further coincidence, both episodes are the fourth episodes of their shows’ first season.

Your list still checks out in my book.
Gotta say that personally I don’t necessarily dislike emancipation, was it underwhelming? Maybe.
But I do appreciate the story of someone that the society around them considers an underdog. Then reality sets in and they mop the floor with their opponent and hold a knife to their throat. And I appreciate that it is early enough(s1e3) in the series to show that Carter is not just the brains, but also a warrior.
Perhaps I’m imagining some sexism within our own 90’s society, I was quite young, I’m not a women, and back then girls had cooties. But that is what it established, that Carter is a warrior. At this point, we had not seen her fight hand-to-hand. If some say it is underwhelming, I won’t argue. But I think for it’s time, the episode served it’s purpose.
