bootROM checkm8 can jailbreak Apple A5-11 while usbliter8 can do A12-15 & S4-5 to a lesser extent.
ipwndfu, Fugu, checkra1n, and checkm8-a5 are currently the main tools capable of using the checkm8 exploit.

Unfortunately there is no permanent BootROM exploit for S5L8930, so the device has to be put in DFU mode for each boot. Flashing a corrupted iOS image will put the device in DFU bootloop which will make it more convenient. openiBoot can be used for booting a mainline kernel.

I really wish some smart people would focus more on iPhone devices, they are great device and pmOS would make them awesome!
Developing for android phones is already pretty hard, i can’t imagine what the landscape on apple devices looks like
Though a lot more effort and requiring exploits, far more complicated than porting to Android phones, a lot of driver development will surely be necessary as well.
