Slavery was outlawed and we had a civil war over it. Tons of other countries had slavery way after America, especially anywhere the Dutch tocuhed. Slavery was not an option for millions of people even if they didn’t commit a crime, for you to call prison modern day slavery is idiotic and a dumbass take. You don’t even have a nation to stand behind which proves even more how much of a dumbass take you have.

No. It wasnt. Google the thirteenth amendment and tell me what it says. Imagine being so proudly ignorant of your own country’s Constitution. Christ, Americans are brain broken.

I’m not calling prison slavery, I’m calling you using prisoners for slave labor slavery, which it is.

Not the one you’ve been having a back and forth with. I think it’ll help to look at the relevant facts. The 13th amendment, is what is being brought up here.

      https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thirteenth_Amendment_to_the_United_States_Constitution

As far as legal texts go, the US constitution is not convoluted at all. Here is the relevant line:

Neither slavery nor involuntary servitude, except as a punishment for crime

Most other western countries do not have “prison labor”.
