    Never heard of SeaMonkey, looks really cool though. I was wondering how usable it is as a daily-driver and how much use of it’s other features aside from a web-browser you get? Nice look overall too, retro aesthetics are definitely just superior, GUIs have become too large, padded, and dumbed-down to be useful anymore.

      I feel like a bit of a fraud… I don’t really use it very much. I keep meaning to get back to it, though…

      From what I’ve seen so far, it’s pretty good. But some sites kinda break because they need those ✨ magical wonderful modern web tech features ✨ (it’s great for browsing the small/indie web though… maybe I should see if a gopher or gemini extension could be made).

      The other features are pretty frickin’ good. Mail & Newsgroups is very appealing to me as a Firefox/Thunderbird (not just strawberry) enjoyer. Address Book compliments Mail & Newsgroups quite well, I think.

      Composer is an HTML editor, which is pretty cool if you have your own website (I need to make a site on neocities…). It also kinda makes sense to put it in the browser? Like, that’s where it’s gonna be rendered, so it makes testing it easier in some ways.

      I also have a few extensions that add more… standalone features? They feel like entire programs on their own, tbh. I think some come preinstalled. Lighting provides Calender, and Lightbird gives it a standalone window UI, which helps make it fit in nicely.

      Lastly, there’s ChatZilla, which is an IRC client. I haven’t delved into IRC yet though. Overall, I quite like the idea of having one big program to handle multiple internet protocols. Maybe I should make a Threadiverse client extension…

    I rarely see mentions of seamonkey. Are you using it as the main browser? How does it compare to firefox in terms of resources usage and compatibility with modern sites? Can we use addons like ublock?

      I only use it for things Wikipedia, Arch Wiki, Lemmy (the official UI doesn’t seem to work, but mlmym does). I’m not sure how it compares in performance. It doesn’t seem to support a lot of newer web standards (hence mlmym), and it has waaaaay less addons available.

      Thanks! I considered using a full DE (KDE Plasma), but I like how simple Sway is. I’ve seen people rice their setup to look exactly like old versions of Windows, and it’s almost always done on KDE Plasma.
