A newly deployed Russian army recruit survives for just 20 to 35 minutes once they reach frontline combat positions, historian Peter Frankopan reported in an article for Foreign Policy on June 25.

Don’t just complain about paywalls. If you encounter one, be a sport and link to an archived version instead. Use Firefox + uBlock Origin with the annoyances filters enabled and https://filterlists.com/lists/bypass-paywalls-clean-filter to avoid encountering many in the first place.
