Very American category, incorrect spelling of item in another, stupid one in purple (with). Yeah not a fun one.

I was really dead set on finding an “Olympic” connection with blue. Stumbled upon the right answer by accident.

Also, I don’t understand the complaints about the puzzles containing American content or spelling. The NYT is an American publication. New York Times. New York is an American city. Why shouldn’t it contain American content?

Amex shit, really? I look forward to more corporate knowledge bullshit in the future. For the “payments” category, wire didn’t seem to fit so well because the other 3 can be used in a store (or at least used to be, I don’t think anyone takes check these days). Might as well have been gold. Also saw the W words but tungsten didn’t leap to mind enough to get the category early
