    This gambit is also called a “bagholder” scheme, as retail investors are left holding a rapidly depreciating asset.

    I’m almost okay with these people (Musk bros in 2026? come on) losing their money, the issue is that wrapping the rocket business up in the whole affair murks the water. I think they’re betting on a public bailout not just playing retail investors.

      Living at the top of a luxury high rise tower that will soon topple so that you will have to move 10 luxury high rise towers down and stay there for a bit until you have to move on etc… is from a certain perspective (given a repeated, periodic discontinuous span) the same as living at the top of a luxury high rise tower.

      A domino is a domino, to suggest that a series of them lined up will all perfectly topple down in a glorious catastrophe is downright delusional!
