Yep I had a super fun time in my youth just being out and about, nothing in particular to do, and then in a somewhat more organized manner at teen dance clubs or club nights and rave parties. I think they were way more popular in Europe (The Shamen) after Boss Drum I didn’t really hear much from them here again, but I really enjoyed Axis Mutatis too. They had some rad early web sites as well

euler is said like oiler in case you are a numpty like me and didn’t know.
You’re definitely not alone. My first teacher who pronounced “oiler” correctly did so a lot and every time in my head I had to deliberately pin the sound to Euler because I had heard the name mispronounced consistently for years.
Eu is an old and common long diphthong prefixing Greek roots to mean “good-{whatever}” with lots of cognates in other languages pronounced with a long u sound. That Euler should be the rare exception is fitting, but most who read the name first will mispronounce it as a result.
And then to make things more confusing there’s Euclid :3
