    West Papua is included here as part of Indonesia but has been waging an independence campaign for decades.

    It is the western part of the island of Papua that you can find on that graphic under the island of Palau.

    A recent documentary on the occupation and colonisation of West Papua made by sympathetic Indonesian film makers:
