This is a point I was making back during election season: all of media, left, right, and center, are all complicit for getting him elected, because they all sanewashed every nonsense comment. Every batshit thing he said was paraphrased in reporting to cut out the meandering chlamydia-induced brain fog that tied his sentence-fragments together. Very few people were actually watching him and listening to him, versus getting summaries and soundbites on the news, so very few people saw that he’s a complete fucking lunatic.
Even the Spanish news networks were complicit. I remember seeing a clip where he said something bat shit crazy but the translation was something completely different.
The media is who voters get permission from to cast their ballots. The media (mostly meta and cable news corps) is the real root cause of all the current gesticulates widely
