I love this title, like the problem is that these poor food production companies just can’t price gouge the people as much as they want to, and that’s the real tragedy.
Won’t somebody please think of the food company shareholders?!
Ozempic is in shambles thanks to this one dieting trick!
When they started greatly increasing prices with commodity investments, especially during COVID, did they not understand basic economics of real goods vs commodities. Higher prices reduces demand of the real good as people can’t afford it. That cut continues into your longterm profit if you continue inflation level increases as well as commodity driven ones.
Either go back to a supply and demand model instead of a hybrid one for food so prices don’t spike from investor manipulation rather than only supply and demand, or STFU and let the industry collapse.
