    Understood.

Never buy LG, treat the brand as though it’s already dead.

Also avoid Microsoft for not acting upon this known abuse vector.

Go Linux and own your PC again.

But Microsoft knew about this problem for years. If anyone thinks lg isn’t paying MS to leave the back door open you are being naive.

You could tell me Microsoft uses indeginous tribespeople on human-sized hamster wheels for electricity and I’d see it as morally in their wheelhouse.

So you’re saying you didn’t know this program was already operational??? But it’s prisoners not tribespeople. https://www.nbcnews.com/id/wbna48144469

            No problem.

As a senior I just feel it’s my job to make sure we don’t forget.

Wait till people notice the backdoor that Lenovo loads onto laptops via Windows Updates posing it as a driver

I wonder what Windows Update policy actually is.

Someone must look at the drivers vendors send them. If LG tells Microsoft “yes, that’s correct, all these old monitors now need this bundle function; it’s essential” and it doesn’t technically include malware… is there any way the Microsoft driver team can say “no?” I bet not.

That’s messed up. But also, whoever allowed this to ship probably had no choice.

So in other words: don’t use LG products, also don’t ever use any Microsoft products but we already knew that
