Supposedly, this ASUS Zenbook 14 should get up to 6 hours of battery life on Win11, but it drains from 80 to 25% in a few hours of just browsing. How can I improve it?

TLP used to be the gold standard for laptop battery management when I last looked. Not sure if there’s a new kid on the block these days or whether Mint already has TLP installed or not, but that’s where I’d start looking.

This might also contain some good info for laptop performance and battery life.

Hmm, I have indeed been successfully using TLP to limit battery charging to 80% but I haven’t looked into what else it can do. Thanks for the reminder that it does more than just do that, haha. I guess I’ll poke around to see if it can help reduce the depletion rate.

AFAIK one should also drain the battery to zero once a month and charge it fully (100%!) to recalibrate the battery capacity.

You can and should use then the device to get below 80% again.
