Most people, even Libs, are sympathizing with Iran to some degree right now. That’s how bad Trump fucked up this war. They just want it to stop, to the point they can’t even really see Iran as a big bad. No matter how much the media tries, the people have like “big bad guy” fatigue.

So they are trying to get Iran involved with an already established fight. “Ok we can’t get ppl to hate Iran on its own but we are still able to get them to gobble up any pro Ukraine bullshit we spew. So let’s get them to attack Ukraine and then we can play the Putin card.”

This is the war version of the way they tack on unwanted shit onto other bills to get them into laws. I mean, just look at this post. Normal Iran posts don’t get too many immediate comments and I haven’t really seen anyone being blatantly anti-Iran in them. But this post? Mentioned Ukraine and a fed warped in immediately. lol

I agree it’s desperation on the part of Ukrainian leadership, though I’m not sure that it would instigate anything resembling a world war (even if that may be what the Ukrainian Nazis are hoping for). Iran is already fighting / has fought off the US and israel, and various empire states have helped with the empire side of things, even if somewhat indirectly. Given the restraint Iran has shown consistently so far, the likelihood is that it would do a tit for tat with Ukraine and then stop, and like… what would the EU do for example? Condemn Iran when it already tends to militarily support the US against it? All I see it accomplishing is Ukraine accelerating its fall by pissing off Iran and getting hit proportionally harder, relative to the remaining strength it has.

Hi Deaglan, I hope you are happy and well. I’m sorry to hear you lost subscribers, I think a good many will be back after Ukraine is done and dusted.

I’m not sure if it’s ok with the moderator, but if it is, please also consider posting in ukrainerussiareport@lemmy.ml.

Is “Russian” an ethnic slur now? Might as well say “orc” while you’re at it.

Just because their drones can reach Moscow doesn’t mean Ukraine is actually winning on the frontlines. In fact, slowly but surely town after town is taken by Russia.

I can’t wait for the inevitable headline of “Ukraine surrenders unconditionally, no longer valid as state” to pop up in mainstream media and it finally shutting up all “pro-ukraine” activists🙄

Well the Ukrainian people would gain from Ukraine ceasing to be a NATO proxy, neo-nazi-run military outpost that runs on kidnapping Ukrainians to force them to fight in a war that doesn’t benefit them, so there is that.

I was more referring to the 3 days military operation. So, what do you think would come out positive for you ?

The american hegemony being weakened, while the axis of resistance (Russia, China, Iran, Democratic People’s Republic of Korea etc.) gets stronger.

This, in turn, should allow for socialist revolutions to be much more possible in the world as the links of the imperialist chain have weakened.

What do the Ukranian citizens gain from the continuation of this war at the behest of Western imperial interests?

What do they gain from shelling Donbass for almost a decade before 2022?

          This? www.busification.org/en

Wouldn’t you fight if a foreign army walked over your land ? What justify invasion according to you ? I mean, even if Zelensky is not the best, does it really seems that worst compared to the current political system in Russia ? Or would you disagree that Putin is an authoritarian dictator ? Went on your website, pretty mild compared to the video from the abuse of Russian soldiers by their own mens.

Wouldn’t you fight if a foreign army walked over your land ?

My land? I do not own any land or country and do not wish so. Currently, western countries are owned and controlled by the capitalist class, so they can fight if they want.

What justify invasion according to you ?

Existential threat, like, for example, being non-western aligned and having your neighbor be part of the “eradicate and enslave the not-aligned” organisation aka NATO.

I mean, even if Zelensky is not the best, does it really seems that worst compared to the current political system in Russia ?

If Zelensky is not much different, then it should not matter what country takes control.

Or would you disagree that Putin is an authoritarian dictator ?

There is no disagreement, you are just wrong. He simply is not a dictator and people mainly listen to him because he has earned their trust.

Went on your website, pretty mild compared to the video from the abuse of Russian soldiers by their own mens.

Yeah i don’t think any of that is happening in Russia right now. I am sure there is physical abuse in such strong and patriarchal hierarchies, but definitely not on the level of ripping away mentally disabled people and putting them in a suicide squad. All active russian soldiers are, i think at least, volunteers (in the liberal sense, monetary coercion invalidates pure volunteering in a communist sense i believe).

Wouldn’t you fight if a foreign army walked over your land ?

Not if my land is ruled by actual fascists, who are trying to ethnically cleanse eastern Ukraine and banning the Russian language.

What justify invasion according to you ?

Oh I don’t know, how about shelling and killing citizens of Donbass for years before 2022? When the coup happened in 2014, they knew what was up and chose to defect. Why can’t you respect that?

I mean, even if Zelensky is not the best, does it really seems that worst compared to the current political system in Russia ?

He’s a fucking fascist omfg. He’s literally shaken hands with former-ISIS (now president of Syria) and Netanyahu. He wants Ukraine to be the “Greater Israel” of Europe. The AZOV battalion? All of the fascist imagery he’s around? The support for Stepan Bandera? Does nothing trigger any alarms for you?

Or would you disagree that Putin is an authoritarian dictator ?

First of all, authoritarian is a thought-terminating cliché. And I support Russia critically because they play a progressive role in fighting against imperialism.

Went on your website, pretty mild compared to the video from the abuse of Russian soldiers by their own mens.

Haha holy fuck OK?? You are a fucking fascist. Downplaying the suffering of Ukrainians by the hands of their fascist government to satisfy your racist and hateful fantasy of Russia. Very fucking cool. TO THE LAST UKRAINIAN AM I RIGHT?

I don’t think they are working to push them out east with military force directly, but to make it financially not viable to hold on what was invaded.

Sidenote : Busification was pretty mild compared to the abuse of Russian soldiers by their own.

Also thank you, I did read as I was genuinely curious, even if I don’t share the same analysis
