    I’m 100% in support of Ukraine, but do they not use the exact same technology for most of their own drones?

    I’ve seen vast swathes of land covered by fibre-optic (plastic) cables from Ukrainian drone operations.

      I’d still blame Russia for them. A defensive war breeds necessity. You don’t have to prioritise many things above defence before you’ll lose the war.

      They do use Fiber. However last I heard (6 months ago - plenty time to change!) they mostly were using radio drones, and they considered radio better. That is they only used fiber drones when the EM couldn’t be got around any other way. Russia was using about 3x as many fiber drones.
