“Sure, it’s a component that doesn’t have the huge drive to actually cause a surge in prices… but since we’re already raising lots of other prices there’s no good reason to not simply fuck our customers on this to make a bit more profit.”
Ahhh good ol’ market manipulation… The one true innovation of capitalism.
That’s not true at all. Sure, you can argue that most inventions that were created under capitalism would have been created under most other economic ideologies, but definitely not all of them.
We wouldn’t have private equity groups without capitalism, and those are changing our lives every single day.
GOD I hate how right you are… Holy fuck I want to downvote for the snark (or my own inability to forgive ignorance) but… UGH!
Private equity is second only to the stock market in, “how fucking braindead can humanity get?”.
Don’t forget we have “prediction markets” where you can bet that a forest fire will start in a certain area. It’s good to see arsonists finally getting paid to do what they love. Those are the normal, easily accessible markets we all know about.
I’d be surprised if there weren’t higher dollar betting markets like that now where you can put big money on things like date or week of the year the 2nd American Revolutionary War will begin.
We’re getting less sales because only the stupid, rich, or desperate are building at the moment, lets jack up prices, that’ll work…
Morons (or conspirators in destroying the PC platform to make those datacentres profitable, or both).
