It was just another transfer of wealth scheme, conducted out in the open because there’s no reason to hide it anymore.
I’m not even American and this drives me up the wall. Those tariffs were just an excuse to further increase the class divide in society, weren’t they.
The entire point of any right wing politician around the world is to maximise the amount of money that goes from the working and middle class to the ultra wealthy. Mainly via distraction.

Figured as much. Right now I am trying my best to live my life with as much inner peace as I possibly can knowing the world is absolutely hopeless within my lifetime, and probably generations to come. But it sure is hard if you don’t want to be completely isolated from the rest of society.

And they seem happy about it, since even attacking the thing they care most about, money, doesn’t seem to upset them.
But hey, at least I can still go fuck myself for now.
