As a Swede, this makes me sick, and it is far, far too common.
The government can easily crush you like this if you attempt to follow the rules, but if you don’t even try to play by the rules they are basically powerless against you.
And it isn’t anyone’s fault, “it is just the system”, “you didn’t do X”, “your application for Y was submitted too late by your employer”, and so on…
There is definite truth to the statement that “you have to be well enough to be sick in Sweden”
