Something rather messed up about this is that most of these gig workers, at least where I’m at and I assume in most big cities, are immigrants.
This is why Waymos get set on fire whenever there’s civil unrest.
Brother, everything gets set on fire when there is civil unrest. Shit, even when their local sportsball team loses the championships, or even when they win sometimes. People as a group are insane in general.
Insurance companies should refuse to cover cars with these flock cameras in them due to being targeted for vandalism.
This is is shitty because it does put the risk on the underpaid gig worker.
RIP out the flock cameras.
Insurance companies will welcome this and offer reduced policy costs. Because it’s like an additional security device, if they can obtain the cam footage after an accident or crime.
.maybe. maybe not
Flock won’t allow access to the footage unless they pay them.
People (maybe sock puppet and ai people?) say all the time on social media how flock is great so we can catch criminals and talk about how nobody will be exempt from criminal activity. But we know the local pd don’t use flock to find criminals. They don’t care.
They just use it for stalking, funding immigrants, and making sure pregnant women aren’t getting abortions.
The proposal involved Nexar dashcams scanning plates along drivers’ routes, but no deal with Uber or Lyft exists.
Kinda a critical part to leave out of the headline…
I would boycott those companies and use taxis instead if this happens!
Surely both countries are equal more.
