        I pay $3200 a year for malpractice insurance that covers up to a 3 million dollar settlement if I fuck up. Said insurance also requires I maintain licensure and certifications that demand I do 20-30 hours of continuing education a year to ensure I keep training up, and 5 hours of this must be related to ethics. I am in behavioral health, my colleagues that work in physical health pay substantially more given the increased risk (though they’re also paid a lot more). Why dont cops need to do something similar? In many areas they are paid obscene amounts of money, for what? Or just gut the system altogether and start over because it’s crystal clear the rot runs extremely deep
