    I feel like now is a good time to mention I applied for some kind of wildfire firefighter position locally, and got rejected.

    I wonder if it’s because I said “fuck you” to the questionnaire on how I would contribute to government efficiency…

        Yup. Haven’t applied to other government jobs, but I’m guessing DOGE left its mark everywhere.

        I don’t know what they even expected me to say. Like, it’s a firefighter job, what do you want me to do, use less water?

          It’s infuriating as-is, but it is even more infuriating to think some of those inexperienced brats brought in by Elon with no relevant experience or qualifications had any part in drafting such initiatives.

          Like Elon and Project 2025 assholes have such a low opinion of government that they are like, “here, these kids that barely graduated high school are here to do the job.”
