Serious question. What does it mean if I feel this was as a guy? Every time I see a lesbian couple they look so much happier than I could ever imagine myself being and I never feel this way about straight or gay couples.

Could mean you just know a lot of cool lesbian couples, could be a sign that you might want to consider doing some reflection about your gender and sexuality, could be something else entirely. No wrong answer there, it’s just kinda hard to say, without knowing anything else about you.

But I don’t think you’re wrong for feeling that way, being a lesbian is pretty great!

That could mean any number of things. Do you know many happy and openly affectionate couples that aren’t lesbian? What’s your relationship with your gender? There are probably other relevant questions, but those two are the big ones I can think of at the moment

I mean in my case it turned out that I wasn’t a guy, but is it something that happens specifically with lesbian couples? Because happy couples in general are pretty rad too.

And not to pressure you but just remember you can just like…be a girl. If you want. It feels like an unimaginable insurmountable thing at first that defies any attempt at comprehension and then I tried it and it is easier than I thought.

I mean, women are generally better at openly communicating their feelings with each other, and gay couples in general have a more equal dynamic by default. However, that’s more because a lot of men aren’t raised right and we live in a misogynistic society. I’ve met plenty of straight and gay male couples that were good models for sweet and loving relationships. Lesbian couples aren’t inherently better and any gendered couple can be amazing.

So then why do you feel that way about lesbian couples? It probably goes beyond anything logical; you just have that preference. As far as if it might have any deeper meaning; do you want it to? Does it seem like something you’re content with admiring from afar because sapphics are precious, or is it something you wish you could be a part of? There are no wrong answers so long as you’re happy with yourself.
