I played back when OSRS was just regular RS. Never knew what I was doing, as I’d always just follow my friends around. I made an account a few months back and it was insanely addicting. I did as much as I could free and then my buddy felt so bad for me that he bought me a 2 week membership. I spent those 2 weeks building up the levels and resources to become nearly fully sustainable in the game. As in, I could play X hours a day and make enough in game currency to pay for another 2 week membership, perpetually.

Aaaand then I just quit instead of renewing. It was fun, but I knew I was heading down a slippery slope lol

I think I hit like 1350 all or something over the course of 6ish weeks.

Man my bro is 30 now and he started playing the game as a teenager, when it was still in the browser. I played the free to play “tutorial” content of Oldschool Runescape about 2 years ago to see how it functions and what it is about. For my taste its too grindy and I do not like expensive subscriptions to access content for a certain amount of time. And MMOs are just not my thing either, but I tried it.I like the music. Took the original Midi music and played them with 3 Midi Soundfonts, then mixed them together: 2 hours Oldschool Runescape Music - Retake
