Vine-Glo was a grape concentrate brick product sold in the United States during Prohibition by Fruit Industries Ltd, a front for the California Vineyardist Association (CVA), from 1929.
The product was advertised with tips for preventing alcoholic fermentation, with one salesperson giving customers a very specific warning: “Do not place the liquid in this jug and put it away in the cupboard for twenty-one days, because then it would turn into wine.”

I got curious one day looking at how distilleries with “Since 18xx” survived. They pivoted. Alcohol was fine as a drug and prescription, and also wines were still sold as sacremental for churches. Also, church attendance rose noticeably during Prohibition. Wanna get drunk ye alcoholics? Come to Mass!
The instructions on how to avoid disabling Flock cameras reminded me of that stuff!
Here in Sweden there used to be ads in the newspaper with mailorder juice- or pressure cooker and warnings of how to not accidentally turn it into a distillery and make booze.
