Currently, Aurora Store, including Nightly (2026-08-31), returns a “&$Server busy, please try again later.” error when attempting to install an application via an anonymous account.
The most important part has been omitted. The problem is that anonymous account is just someone else’s account, I suppose, proxied through their servers. So what got blocked are the accounts or the servers themselves, which is shit but not quite surprising.
Non-anonymous accounts are still working as it’s much harder to track and block them. They’ll try to block them too, obviously, but not yet.

And has been happening on the regular for years…
Good point. I added that.
I assumed that was the default intention, because we’re here, and I personally want to only interact with Google anonymously.
To be fair, I wouldn’t even interact with it at all :D
But unfortunately it’s the only way to get timely updates for some apps, so throwaway account it is…
So it begins.
I just did updates today with AuroraStore
Had this the past couple days. Updates today worked.
Just shows how android is fatally flawed though. Even if you degoogle we’re still far too reliant on Google.
Fix your title. It doesn’t match the link’s title.
I use apkmirror+obtanium, no point in using an app store to update apps.
