      This will get you arrested, admitting to taking loans with no intention of repayment is felony fraud and 140,000 dollars will trigger an instant passport alert at customs.

      This also applies to many countries the US has extradition treaties with. So if this guy meanders his way to any of the 116 countries that the US shares criminal treaties with, he will get arrested.

      I’ve seen this happen first hand because Belarusians previously loved travelling to the US on green cards, blowing massive amounts of credit, and then getting surprised when they get arrested in Germany 5 years later on vacation.

      under normal circumstances, not really
      if the bank report it as fraud though, you could be arrested on arrival
      whether they bother to try that is doubtful over such a relatively small amount of money though
