He has made governing extra hard for himself - for no reason, without any gain in return. You would think that a chancellor has advisors to tell him that insulting your people is fucking stupid after the first time. His recent change in tone and him withdrawing from the public a little is too little too late I fear.

And I use ‘fear’ losely here, because I think that the hypothetical chancellor alternatives are a gamble at best
